Inspiration from Paris

The metro, glowing lights in neon green glory.

The toilet from 2 Moulins, the café that Audrey Tautou worked at in Amélie.

I'm loving black, white, and turquoise combos...

Bling. I love the position of the hand.

PARIS PARIS

My time in Paris... I met a lot of friendly and interesting people there. I got a random hand massage in a park (then had my back popped by the same guy, all while desperately trying not to explode with laughter), was forced to walk to the Eiffel Tower in the rain by my travel buddy, ate pain au fromage for breakfast, had pastries in between each meal, listened to Reggae while eating Vietnamese food from the same little restaurant each night, layed in parks, made friends with market-owners, sipped espressos each morning from the same local café, and decided, in the end, over an espresso with a random French guy at Le Chignon that I have to move to Paris.

Some photos from my trip:
Diesel frayed scarf, Gap v-neck (with a tiny little pocket that I love!), Topshop distressed skirt, Paule Marrot special edition bag for Hayden-Harnett

First night out in Paris, wearing the same Gap v-neck, Diesel Liv jeans, Pedro Garcia gray suede booties, a Plein Sud oversized sweater, vintage handbag, and a layered, gothic-style necklace (I forget the name of the designer)

My new kicks! Amazing leather, 4-buckle high-tops by Ash, accessorized with a pair of scrunched-down Diesel knee socks

The high-tops in action! Rag and Bone bib-neck top, Topshop distressed skirt, Gap belt (which is sadly falling apart and apparently irreparable), Paule Marrot bag, and vintage sunglasses

I'm going to post my Paris inspiration board later!

First Post... FINALLY!

It's taken me a while to get this blog up and running. My first month is Spain was incredibly busy, and it ended with a bang - a bout of tonsillitis! I was so busy that I didn't have much time to be homesick or to even think about adjusting to the move. I was just thrown into it, and I guess that that is the best way to do things.

I found a great yoga studio here in Barcelona. It's close to the port, and I love catching the ocean breeze as I walk home from a good, hard Ashtanga practice. My teachers (Elena and Paz) are fabulous. Elena reminds me of my mother; it's nice to have someone like that here.

Despite being hot and sweaty in a country that lacks air conditioning, I've been trying to rock out some new purchases and vintage goodies that I brought from home.

Here I am in a Diesel catsuit and some homemade, acid-wash, trashy hot shorts... celebrating the end of my TEFL course!

I love that the date on this photo says '82. It suits the outfit, I think.

Late nights celebrating make for chill days on the beach. This Zara graphic hooded dress felt like the perfect ensemble for a weekend spent in neon.

Not many "Spain" outfits to post just yet, but I have some Paris ensembles that I will post ASAP, along with stories, etc.
